Attendance & Absence Notice (Required)
If your child will be absent from Before School Care or After School Care, parents/guardians must provide written notice by email.
Phone calls or voicemail messages are not accepted as absence notice. Written notice must come from a verified parent/guardian email address.

If my child does not attend Strawberry Vale Elementary, can they still attend your Out of School Care programs?
Only children attending Strawberry Vale Elementary may attend the Before and After School Care programs and professional development days. Camp programs may be open to all school-aged children when available.
What are your hours of operation?
Before School Care runs 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM on school days. After School Care runs 2:37 PM to 5:30 PM on school days. Professional days and camp hours are typically 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Strawberry Vale OSC is licensed by Island Health and follows Child Care Licensing Regulations.
Are your staff qualified?
Staff complete criminal record checks, First Aid/CPR, required education hours under licensing regulations, and are 19 years of age or older. Some staff may also be Educational Assistant or ECE qualified.
Do you accept children who require additional support?
Families requiring support care may need approved funding through Supported Child Development. The program works to support inclusive care while maintaining safety and well-being for all children.
What happens if I am late for pickup?
Closing time is 5:30 PM. Late pickup may be billed at $10 for each 15-minute period or portion of that period.
